Whirling Dervishes Ceremony

The Whirling Dervish ceremony has been performed for nearly 800 years. This ritual has become a cultural icon of Türkiye’s incredibly diverse country.

The Whirling Dervishes were led by Mevlana Celaleddin, more commonly referred to as Rumi in the West. The dancer receives with one hand raised to the Creator and gives the blessing to the Creation with the other hand pointing down toward the ground.
This spiritual dance is performed in the historical atomosphere of the Cultural Centre.

We collect you at 20:15 from your hotel and drive to the Cultural Centre,

The 45 minute spiritual whirling dervishes ceremony starts at 21:00 and end at 21:45. After the ceremony we offer you “Sherbet”, a special drink made of honey, spices, hot water, then we drive you back to your hotel.
